Mind your own business!

My fellow brethren in Christ Jesus greeting each and everyone of you. Today I came across a word that was so mind blowing. In fact as I began to examine the matter I then realised that the reason why many of us are failing to progress in life is simply because of wrong investments of time and energy.

Watch this, some of us are so busy caught up in gossip, trends, and what others are doing such that, the moment you waste data poking into other people’s business you’d have lost valuable time which you could have used productively for your benefit.

Now hear me, the love of God in us teaches us to say no to ungodliness and fruitless matters. The Lord was rebuking me and showing me how I lost time listening to stuff that had zero benefit upon my life and He showed me how we are so consumed to hear how so and so is doing such that we fail to see the stagnation we are causing ourselves in so doing.

1 Thessalonians 4:9-11 says,
[9]But concerning brotherly love [for all other Christians], you have no need to have anyone write you, for you yourselves have been [personally] taught by God to love one another.
[10]And indeed you already are [extending and displaying your love] to all the brethren throughout Macedonia. But we beseech and earnestly exhort you, brethren, that you excel [in this matter] more and more,
[11]To make it your ambition and definitely endeavor to live quietly and peacefully, to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands, as we charged you,

I realised through this passage of scripture that there is a more excellent way in which the love of God our Father can be seen upon my life, and this is by making my objective and purpose of enjoying peace of mind by minding my own business and concentrating on my own work, because time lost is never recovered. Fruitless chatter yields fruitless results, just as fruitless investment equates to zero productivity.

I politely ask you my brothers and sisters to mind your own business as far as other people’s affairs are concerned and focus on yourself, your growth and productivity. Live a quiet life and yes, keep people second guessing and inquisitive as to what does he/she really like; listen just live a private life and yet proclaim God our Father publicly. In so doing you will maintain good conduct and be honourable and command respect from everyone around you.

Gold or diamonds are never picked on the surface but one has to dig underground where they are concealed and then they go through processing or refining by fire to reveal their worth/value, likewise live privately and mind your own business so that when the Father reveals you, your value and worth will be seen, respected,  and honoured by all men.
