My fellow brethren in Christ Jesus our Lord and Saviour peace be to you all. Now hear me today, it is easy to get sidetracked and fall along the way due to the cares and concerns of life. Most of us have realised that whatever we went to school for is not what this life is dishing out. In fact we are pressed on every side the older we get. Listen there is a demand upon your life and as a Son you need to understand that. Christianity has three stages:
- Believer – the new convert.
- Christian – the disciple.
- Son – the co-heir with Christ.
Understand this, each of these stages places a demand upon your life and are attained the advancement of your faith. One thing that we need to focus on is our end time. You do live forever but where you’ll end up in eternity is what is important!
Now due to the vicissitudes of this life it is possible to fall-out of these three dimensions I mentioned above and be found faithless, so it is very important to make every effort to be spotless, blameless and at peace with Christ Jesus.
One thing that touched my heart is these words I heard whispered in my spiritual ears;
Luke 18:1-8
[1]ALSO [Jesus] told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not to turn coward (faint, lose heart, and give up).
[2]He said, In a certain city there was a judge who neither reverenced and feared God nor respected or considered man.
[3]And there was a widow in that city who kept coming to him and saying, Protect and defend and give me justice against my adversary.
[4]And for a time he would not; but later he said to himself, Though I have neither reverence or fear for God nor respect or consideration for man,
[5]Yet because this widow continues to bother me, I will defend and protect and avenge her, lest she give me intolerable annoyance and wear me out by her continual coming or at the last she come and rail on me or assault me or strangle me.
[6]Then the Lord said, Listen to what the unjust judge says!
[7]And will not [our just] God defend and protect and avenge His elect (His chosen ones), who cry to Him day and night? Will He defer them and delay help on their behalf?
[8]I tell you, He will defend and protect and avenge them speedily. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find [persistence in] faith on the earth?
Verse 8 drove the nail home by that heart wrecking and spiritual awakening question, ‘how many will the Lord Jesus Christ find persistent in faith on earth?’
Ask yourself this with your current lifestyle trajectory are you heading towards more grace and stronger faith or is it evident through how prayerless you are that you are already faithless?!
Brothers and sisters, on every occasion and in every season, no matter what the case may be or what you are facing, don’t stop praying, because the moment you stop, your faith dwindles to the danger of the end result of faithlessness. Be a man or woman of prayer always so that in the end you will be found in the faith as a Son of the living God and co-heir with Christ Jesus!
