Overcoming Bitterness!

My fellow brethren in Christ Jesus our Lord and Saviour peace be with you all. Hear me well, there is a certain demon called bitterness that can cause you to lose sight of the goodness of God and from seeing the door and opportunities the Father has set for you.
The word bitterness means to have a feeling of anger and unhappiness; it also means feeling displeasure or simply acrimony.
Now if you observe closely your life you will see that you are bitter over someone or something.
The danger in this is that it will keep you stagnant and barren, and it will kill and destroy whatever future you deserve unless and until you stop looking blindly backwards.
Ecclesiastes 7:10 says, Do not say, “Why were the former days better than these?” For you do not inquire wisely concerning this.
The Father said in Isaiah 43:19-22
[19]Behold, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs forth; do you not perceive and know it and will you not give heed to it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
[20]The beasts of the field honor Me, the jackals and the ostriches, because I give waters in the wilderness and rivers in the desert, to give drink to My people, My chosen, [Isa. 41:17, 18; 48:21.]
[21]The people I formed for Myself, that they may set forth My praise [and they shall do it].
[22]Yet you have not called upon Me [much less toiled for Me], O Jacob; but you have been weary of Me, O Israel!

Our problem is we reflect backwards or with the past instead of reflecting through the Word of God!
We fail to see what the Lord is doing and to obey Him, because of the bitterness we harbour within our hearts. We are angry and unhappy of our lives, our spouses, our jobs, our homes, our bosses, our salaries, our church, our pastor(s),our bodies. We are at some point angry and unhappy about something or someone and this has blinded us from the truth found in God’s Word.
Watch this, we don’t trust God’s Word and we don’t trust each other. We are disponded in our spirits to the point of prayerlessness and afflicted with strangers sickness, all because of bitterness. One of the most predominant reason why we are bitter is because we are disappointed of the outcomes of our lives and we think we are not being treated fairly by God and that He seems to have favourites and therefore blesses others whilst omitting us-This is a pure lie from the pit of hell and it has caused many to be deceived and bitter towards the church and towards God our Father!
We wound and hurt the Holy Spirit and He fails to function on our behalf because we are a bitter generation due to the vicissitudes of this life. This 21st Century has brought about untold suffering for many and thus gave birth and rise to this diabolical root of bitterness. If you tell someone God loves them, they are filled with WHY’S!
I urge you today with the words of Apostle Paul, Ephesians 4:31-32
[31]Let all bitterness and indignation and wrath (passion, rage, bad temper) and resentment (anger, animosity) and quarreling (brawling, clamor, contention) and slander (evil-speaking, abusive or blasphemous language) be banished from you, with all malice (spite, ill will, or baseness of any kind).
[32]And become useful and helpful and kind to one another, tenderhearted (compassionate, understanding, loving-hearted), forgiving one another [readily and freely], as God in Christ forgave you.

Let us thrive in forgiving each other and being loving-hearted towards one another for only then in exhibiting the fruit of the Holy Spirit toward others we will defeat bitterness and overcome stagnation and barrenness, and have healthy lifestyles both physically and spiritually in Christ Jesus’ Mighty name!
