Greetings to you all my fellow brethren in Christ Jesus. We all are not aware of what will happen to us overnight. We lie in bed and sleep with the hope of tomorrow and yet not all of us get to see the light of the next day, yet still we plan and prepare hoping for a better tomorrow. King David sang and said, Psalm 4:
[6]Many say, Oh, that we might see some good! Lift up the light of Your countenance upon us, O Lord.
[7]You have put more joy and rejoicing in my heart than [they know] when their wheat and new wine have yielded abundantly.
[8]In peace I will both lie down and sleep, for You, Lord, alone make me dwell in safety and confident trust.
My encouragement to you today is trust the Lord that He will wake you up tomorrow alive and well. The most powerful way to ensure that this is possible is to build a good working relationship with the Holy Spirit. Truth be told God does not want us to be ignorant of the day we take our final rest because we cannot have the Holy Spirit living in us and fail to know how long we will be on this earth. All the disciples knew of their time and were prepared. Sons of God it takes intimacy with the Father in order for us to be above situations and unless you build a solid prayer life you will be disappointed. Prayer isn’t just telling God your requests or confession of sin-no! Prayer is having time to hear the Father speak back to us and engage us in a conversation that is fulfilling. So for you to lay down in peace and sleep with confident trust and assurance of safety only happens when you have a good relationship with the Father.
