Fix it!

My fellow brethren in Christ Jesus greetings to you all. It is not everyone that walked with Moses that was able to enter the promised land; even Lot separated himself from Abraham for a place he thought had greener pastures. Not everyone that followed Christ Jesus was saved, and sad enough many turned their backs on Him. I can just imagine just as it was in Christ Jesus’ time, that this is exactly the same scenario we are faced with in today’s church!
Many of us want to remain in our comfort zones and when the truth is spoken to us and we feel it is not what we want to hear we tend to turn away from church and stop praying altogether. In John 6 the Lord Jesus said something profound yet because to the hearers they did not understand nor were they comfortable with His teaching they turned away from following Christ.( John 6:35-40) & the in John 6:63-67
[63]Jesus explained and said, It is the Spirit Who gives life [He is the Life-giver]; the flesh conveys no benefit whatever [there is no profit in it]. The words (truths) that I have been speaking to you are spirit and life.
[64]But [still] some of you fail to believe and trust and have faith. For Jesus knew from the first who did not believe and had no faith and who would betray Him and be false to Him.
[65]And He said, This is why I told you that no one can come to Me unless it is granted him [unless he is enabled to do so] by the Father.
[66]After this, many of His disciples drew back (returned to their old associations) and no longer accompanied Him.
[67]Jesus said to the Twelve, Will you also go away? [And do you too desire to leave Me?]

If you observe closely this happened soon after the Lord Jesus had fed about 20 000 people with 5 barley loaves and 2 fish. It is clear that many followed Christ because they were fed food.(benefited/gained something), and knowing their hearts He exposed them.
John 6:
[26]Jesus answered them, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, you have been searching for Me, not because you saw the miracles and signs but because you were fed with the loaves and were filled and satisfied.(?)

I redirect this question to you, why do you go to church and sit 2/4hours on a Sunday service; is it because you love God and earnestly follow Christ, or it’s because you are expecting to receive the prophetic word, or it is because the man/woman of God gave you some money, or maybe because of compliments you have received in church for tithing or your financial blessing to the church.
Hear me well, in as much as all this is good, we do not follow nor worship Christ because of what He can/does do but we follow and worship Christ because of who He is. We go to church to worship and bless the Lord because we love Him not because of what He gives us or what we benefit from Him.

Just like those in John 6 you can choose to follow me and this teaching or desert me because it is not what you want to hear. On my part I will not dilute the truth to please anyone. Know where you stand and if you are not righteous or in right standing with God, fix it. You cannot afford to be lukewarm, it’s either you are hot for Christ or you are cold full stop!
