My fellow brethren in Christ peace to you from Christ Jesus our Lord. Hear me well, certain positive changes in your life will not happen unless you take certain drastic measures. It is only the violent that grab the Kingdom of God by force!
I am astound by 4 men that took drastic steps to change their situation and had a remarkable ending irregardless of their condition. Some of you are failing to harness what is rightfully yours because you belittle yourself and look at your condition and think you not good enough or worthy enough!
What you do not know is that in God’s eyes if you feel you not deserving then no one else is!
Watch this and learn, 2 Kings 7
- Now four men who were lepers were at the entrance of the city’s gate; and they said to one another, Why do we sit here until we die?
- If we say, We will enter the city–then the famine is in the city, and we shall die there; and if we sit still here, we die also. So now come, let us go over to the army of the Syrians. If they spare us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall but die.
- So they arose in the twilight and went to the Syrian camp. But when they came to the edge of the camp, no man was there.
- For the Lord had made the Syrian army hear a noise of chariots and horses, the noise of a great army. They had said to one another, The king of Israel has hired the Hittite and Egyptian kings to come upon us.
- So the Syrians arose and fled in the twilight and left their tents, horses, donkeys, even the camp as it was, and fled for their lives.
- And when these lepers came to the edge of the camp, they went into one tent and ate and drank, and carried away silver, gold, and clothing, and went and hid them [in the darkness]. Then they entered another tent and carried from there also and went and hid it.
- Then they said one to another, We are not doing right. This is a day of [glad] good news and we are silent and do not speak up! If we wait until daylight, some punishment will come upon us [for not reporting at once]. So now come, let us go and tell the king’s household.
- So they came and called to the gatekeepers of the city. They told them, We came to the camp of the Syrians, and behold, there was neither sight nor sound of man there–only the horses and donkeys tied, and the tents as they were.
- Then the gatekeepers called out, and it was told to the king’s household within.
What we learn from these men is this:
- Choice- It takes coming to terms with yourself that your situation is not right and you need change. The prodigal son made a choice: The woman with the issue of blood made a choice: blind Bartimaeus made a choice.
- Act against all odds- It takes daring faith/resolution/firmness of purpose without doubt nor fear.
- Testimonial- After having being delivered from your situation do the right thing and tell others of the goodness of the Lord.
You will discover that the lepers had to make difficult choices yet they were bold enough to act upon their decision of going to the Syrian camp. Likewise blind Bartimaeus no matter how many times people told him to be quiet he cried out for mercy to Christ; the prodigal son no matter after having squandered all his inheritance refused to be bound by poverty; the woman with the issueof blood no matter the law of Moses that deamed her unclean and that she should be outside the came took the risk so as to get her deliverance and healing- now you right there what measures or steps have thou taken to ensure that you come out of that predicament that you are caught up in?
Have you sacrificed sleep so as to pray and have an encounter with God like Jacob?!
Have you fasted and prayed earnestly to God for your deliverance from curses or words spoken against you like Daniel?!
My fellow brethren in Christ what are you doing.about you situation?
Stop sitting around waiting on God or change for surely you will die!
To have change and experience the goodness of the Lord it begins with you- the steps you choose to take counts on either placing you into a deserted Syrian camp (place of your breakthrough/provision) or keep you by entrance gate (wildnerness/place of suffering)
The power of change is in you, so take it up and use it accordingly!
