Greetings in the mighty name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
I was having deep thoughts about Jesus’ ministry and I realized something very powerful that Christ Jesus did not come to raise followers but leaders. We read in Matthew 4:
[18]As He was walking by the Sea of Galilee, He noticed two brothers, Simon who is called Peter and Andrew his brother, throwing a dragnet into the sea, for they were fishermen.
[19]And He said to them, Come after Me [as disciples–letting Me be your Guide], follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men!
What Christ meant was I want you to come out from being ordinary fishermen to leaders that lead men and have followers. My friend no one follows a fisherman,in fact a fisherman is one of the least recognized person on earth. There is no degree you need to acquire to become a fisherman, it was a despisable job and Christ turned ordinary fishermen into leaders of thousands.
What am I saying, when you follow Christ Jesus he will change your life entirely, from ordinary to extraordinary, from a nobody to a respected leader. The Father today is calling you out of servanthood to leadership and the Holy Spirit in you will qualify you. This is God’s intention that is why Christ redeemed us so that we reign as kings and priests in this earth; Hear this, Revelation 5: says:
[9]And [now] they sing a new song, saying, You are worthy to take the scroll and to break the seals that are on it, for You were slain (sacrificed), and with Your blood You purchased men unto God from every tribe and language and people and nation. [Ps. 33:3.]
[10]And You have made them a kingdom (royal race) and priests to our God, and they shall reign [as kings] over the earth! [Exod. 19:6; Isa. 61:6.]
Understand this child of the Most High God you are born to reign in Christ Jesus’s Mighty name!
