My beloved friend, I have realized that certain grow ups by age are rather babies mentally and spiritually. This is a deficiency caused by the lack of acquiring wisdom, sound wisdom. Babies cry over spilt milk and almost everything, babies complain over small matters and almost everything; if the weather is hot they complain, if its cold they comolain, if its moderate they still complain. Babies are easily carried away by what the enemy easily flashes before them, but grown man stand still, they are not moved or easily drowned. For some believers they are easily outwit by the devil because their sense of reasoning capacity is with question.
A Christian has to grow as Christ grew in wisdom and stature. Don’t just grow in stature and ignore harnessing growth both spiritually and mentally.
1 Corinthians 13:9-11says, For our knowledge is fragmentary (incomplete and imperfect), and our prophecy (our teaching) is fragmentary (incomplete and imperfect).
But when the complete and perfect (total) comes, the incomplete and imperfect will vanish away (become antiquated, void, and superseded).
When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child; now that I have become a man, I am done with childish ways and have put them aside.
As human beings and far more as new creations in Christ God gave us the Power & Ability & Agility to grow physically, spiritually and mentally.
The writer of Hebrews made great emphasis on this and said these remarks when he observed the immaturity of believers;
Hebrews 5:13-14
For everyone who continues to feed on milk is obviously inexperienced and unskilled in the doctrine of righteousness (of conformity to the divine will in purpose, thought, and action), for he is a mere infant [not able to talk yet]!
But solid food is for full-grown men, for those whose senses and mental faculties are trained by practice to discriminate and distinguish between what is morally good and noble and what is evil and contrary either to divine or human law.
My friend it is required in Christainity that a believer be found mature and of sound wisdom only this will propel you to the next level in your life.
Prematurity in the faith is not of God. Just as no one can open your own mouth for you to eat, no one can open up your mind for you to receive sound wisdom and divine intellect from God through the Holy Spirit, but yourself.
