My beloved friend you and I are spirits and you must come to terms with the reality that life is more spiritual than you can imagine or think. Everything that has a physical manifestation has a spiritual spinal cord that holds it together. The realm of the spirit is put into function by spoken words which are invisible in nature yet audible and you will find that for there to be light God spoke it out. Everything that was and is became to be because God spoke it!
I want you to realize that you are more a spirit than the physical self you see in a mirror.
Paul teaches something on this and says in 1 Corinthians 10:23-24
All things are legitimate [permissible–and we are free to do anything we please], but not all things are helpful (expedient, profitable, and wholesome). All things are legitimate, but not all things are constructive [to character] and edifying [to spiritual life].
Let no one then seek his own good and advantage and profit, but [rather] each one of the other [let him seek the welfare of his neighbor].

Hear me the proven legitimacy is birthed when one lives his/her life in total benefit of the spirit-man within but sadly most of us live our lives to the detriment and starvation of the real you, thus seeking our own good or being selfish-driven.
Aah it’s like a puzzle which only you can solve when you realize and acknowledge your true identity beyond the flesh!
If certain things you want to do and enjoy will cause hurt and grief to your inner man it is most best not to do them. Rather it is better to starve the flesh cos it is decaying each day and instead richly nourish and feed your spirit. Fasting is only a small portion or step to place your flesh into subjection to your spiritman. The greatest superhero who is the true man of steel is not Superman but it is your Spiritman. Make effort to make sure that you take care of your spiritman by keeping guard of what you do on a daily basis and verify if this is enriching your spiritman adequately. Spiritual poverty births lack, spiritual deficiency births diseases and sickness, spiritual blindness births danger, trouble, calamity, & spiritual emptiness births barreness. So make sure the spiritman has a daily supply of a balanced diet in order for you to enjoy a victorious and successful life!
