My beloved friend you and I where all called to a ministry called Christianity. All mankind has received this invitation to godly living and walking in righteousness and this is what it means to be a Christian (Christ-like).
Some of us tend to neglect the gift of life as God has it (Zoe life) because we think we just meant to fit in and not play vital roles in ensuring that our Christianity is with abiding fruit. Each body part plays an integral role in ensuring the full and total efficiency of the body of Christ.
That being said let us pay close attention to these words from 1 Timothy 4:14- 16
Do not neglect the gift which is in you, [that special inward endowment] which was directly imparted to you [by the Holy Spirit] by prophetic utterance when the elders laid their hands upon you [at your ordination].
Practice and cultivate and meditate upon these duties; throw yourself wholly into them [as your ministry], so that your progress may be evident to everybody.
Look well to yourself [to your own personality] and to [your] teaching; persevere in these things [hold to them], for by so doing you will save both yourself and those who hear you.
Whether by your Pastor, Prophet, Bishop, Elder or Deacon we all received a quality or ability that comes from God by His Spirit through these ordained men or women!
Trust me someone out there is very depended on your righteousness in order for them to be saved. You and I hold a very crucial position in this world that will be responsible for two things:
- The Salvation of another’s soul, or
- The Condemnation of another’s soul.
So this tells us that how you behave, walk, talk, and relate with people matters a big deal!
If you are wise you will live upright so that you won’t be held accountable for someone stumbling cos believe me this is what Paul was teaching here. I have learnt and observed that certain people say/do certain things that can send someone to the grave or that will cause them to be successful in life, so which one are you?!
