My friend we need to deal with self righteousness today. We have a tendency of thinking and believing that we are better off that some of our peers yet we must have a servant attitude if ever we need to be great in the Kingdom of God. This morning the Lord spoke to me and said ask forgiveness from me over things you have trespassed. I began to see so many ways and things I have trespassed and so today it is a day to ask for forgiveness of our trespasses. Self righteousness births ego and pride and we overlook our trespasses and think its not a big deal but when we see our righteousness as filthy rags we able to clearly see our trespasses and be able to pray asking for forgiveness from the Father. Matthew 6:12 says, And forgive us our debts/trespasses, as we also have forgiven (left, remitted, and let go of the debts, and have given up resentment against) our debtors or those who trespass against us.
Trespass is to commit an offence or a wrong against God and others.
So let us ask the Father for forgiveness today in Christ Jesus’s mighty name!
