My friend I woke this morning and to study the book of Judges in search of God’s voice and I heard God speaking right there. I heard God saying, ” The things that I have set forth to do in your life, you have not even began to fathom. I will do it by my own might and time and not by your own strength or ability”. I saw it how God fought for Gideon with only 300 men who held trumpets in one hand and empty containers for liquids that had lamps in the other hand. [Judges 7:16,20
And he divided the 300 men into three companies, and he put into the hands of all of them trumpets and empty pitchers, with torches inside the pitchers.]
And the three companies blew the trumpets and shattered the pitchers, holding the torches in their left hands, and in their right hands the trumpets to blow [leaving no chance to use swords], and they cried, The sword for the Lord and Gideon!
Gideon and his men being hungry and tired pursued and conquered, not by sword but by trumpet and pitchers, this could only be God! (See Judges 8:5-28)
Some of us maybe like me you are seeing imposibilities in your present and future but the same God who fought for Gideon is our Father who art in Heaven and such faith like Gideon’s is what we should exert each day and know that He that promised us is faithful and He will likewise do what He says He will do! So today have faith in God and one day you will enjoy the rewards of His victory over your life, surely better days are coming for you and me- keep the faith!
