My friend we are God’s children, this means that the way we live and our characters, even personalities must reflect and show that truly we are God’s children. Our indentity in Christ has to be seen and without doubt. 1 John 3:2-3 says
Beloved, we are [even here and] now God’s children; it is not yet disclosed (made clear) what we shall be [hereafter], but we know that when He comes and is manifested, we shall [as God’s children] resemble and be like Him, for we shall see Him just as He [really] is.
And everyone who has this hope [resting] on Him cleanses (purifies) himself just as He is pure (chaste, undefiled, guiltless).
We have to make every effort to not only live a Christian life but be Christians. Ours is a task to work out our own salvation. Check your speech, your interests, your daily routine and see if that is a good reflection of how a child of God ought to be or do.
