My friend many of us want God to divinely multiply our money and belongings, but we do not understand the principle set in place for that to happen. As long as a man of God (Your Pastor/ Leader) is hungry you will never experience divine multiplication. Your money will never be enough and neither will you have enough unless you learn to give the man of God first. The quickest or fastest way to poverty is stinginess. In 1 Kings 17:8-16 the bible explains this and says, And the word of the Lord came to him:
Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and dwell there. Behold, I have commanded a widow there to provide for you.
So he arose and went to Zarephath. When he came to the gate of the city, behold, a widow was there gathering sticks. He called to her, Bring me a little water in a vessel, that I may drink.
As she was going to get it, he called to her and said, Bring me a morsel of bread in your hand.
And she said, As the Lord your God lives, I have not a loaf baked but only a handful of meal in the jar and a little oil in the bottle. See, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and bake it for me and my son, that we may eat it–and die.
Elijah said to her, Fear not; go and do as you have said. But make me a little cake of [it] first and bring it to me, and afterward prepare some for yourself and your son.
For thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: The jar of meal shall not waste away or the bottle of oil fail until the day that the Lord sends rain on the earth.
She did as Elijah said. And she and he and her household ate for many days.
The jar of meal was not spent nor did the bottle of oil fail, according to the word which the Lord spoke through Elijah.
Lesson learnt here is if the widow had refused to give and feed the man of God first, she would have made her last meal and surely die of hunger. In church today we encourage the believer to give, to pay your tithes but how many of us are doing so?
The reason why Christ Jesus considered and called Lazarus a friend to the point of raising him from the dead was because Lazarus, Mary and Martha would always host Christ Jesus whenever he was in town (Bethany) or passing by.(Luke 10:38-42). Today churches are struggling financially because the believer would rather have a R500 hairdo than to pay their tithe or pledge or even give an offering; another would rather book a weekend getaway with girlfriend or friends than to pledge money for church projects or assist in church finances thus building the vision. They are many examples in the bible of followers of Christ Jesus who left their homes and walked with him making sure he had all that he need, like a place to sleep and food to eat and book places of worship (Luke 8: 1-3, Mary called Magdalene, Joanna the wife of Chuza, and Susanna are named as women who provided material sustenance to Jesus during his travels, along with other unnamed women.), which the church folk today thinks it will happen on its own or automatically. One is asked to give not because they have much but because in giving that little, God will then divinely multiply it to give you more than enough. Certain blessings come from church and from man of God and some from parents it is never automatic. In Luke 6:38 Christ Jesus says, Give, and [gifts] will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will they pour into [the pouch formed by] the bosom [of your robe and used as a bag]. For with the measure you deal out [with the measure you use when you confer benefits on others], it will be measured back to you.
Today how many of us are giving in support of the work of ministry. The little you are given or that you recieve/earn, is a seed so that when you sow it in the kingdom of God it’ll open doors for a good measure pressed down shaken together and running over. Do not expect to receive if you not willing to give.- forget it. No promotion just comes without you having to give.Promition is from God( Psalm 75:6-7 For not from the east nor from the west nor from the south come promotion and lifting up. [Isa. 14:13.]
But God is the Judge! He puts down one and lifts up another.) He that sows is the one that shall reap. In conclusion Genesis 8:22 says, While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. Start giving today not randomly but do it in the ministry you are under so that as God’s kingdom expands through your giving, your finances and belongings are divinely multiplied by God through the man of God saying God bless you!
