My friend, the enemy is out to fightyour identity in CHRIST. In the case of Job he fought job’ s identity and thought Job would curse God and die, but Job knew who he was and who God is in his life so he endured because he aware of his identity. The devil knows that if he can make you doubt who you are in Christ and your worth in Kingdom of God, then you will surely doubt God with that making the devil win the battle. That’s why the bible reaffirms our identity by saying in 1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. [Exod. 19:5, 6.]
Brothers and sisters our Heavenly Father again says in Psalm 82:6 I said, You are gods [since you judge on My behalf, as My representatives]; indeed, all of you are children of the Most High. [John 10:34-36; Rom. 13:1, 2.]
Let me show you something: At the temptation of Christ the devil attacked Christ’s identity by saying
Matthew 4:6 If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down; for it is written, He will give His angels charge over you, and they will bear you up on their hands, lest you strike your foot against a stone. [Ps. 91:11, 12.]
We need to know who we belong to and who we are in Christ Jesus this way way will live a life of victory. When you know your identity you can then boldly say I am born of God and am an Overcomer!
