My friend, what is it that you say is worthwhile in your life?As for me, what was once important to me has become worthless due to the surpassing greatness of the knowledge of Christ,as he is birthed in me more I tend to discard what I used to value, indeed His Kingdom and righteousness is worth first priority. I have developed a deeper love and trust in Him.
Nothing surpasses the worth of knowing Christ and not just knowing Him but having Him dwell in us in fullness. Loving Christ Jesus and having Him embodied in me becomes the epitome of my very existence to extent that me and Him are one. Suddenly everything seems to make sense, everything turns to work out. I begin to hunger for a deeper level of revelation in that [ my determined purpose is] that I may know Him [that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly], and that I may in that same way come to know the power outflowing from His resurrection [which it exerts over believers], and that I may so share His sufferings as to be continually transformed [in spirit into His likeness even] to His death, [in the hope] (Philippians 3:10). This is what is worthwhile for me. As beholding in a mirror Christ in me the hope of glory, the mystery of the ages revealed. Each day I want to decrease such that He increases in me. I want to speak like Him, think like Him, feel like Him, behave like Him in other words to fully function like Him. I have found my worth in Christ Jesus and I am in Him, made full and having come to fullness of life [in Christ you too are filled with the Godhead–Father, Son and Holy Spirit–and reach full spiritual stature]. And He is the Head of all rule and authority [of every angelic principality and power].
Oh Praise the Lord!
For in Him I live and move and have my being; as even some of your [own] poets have said, For we are also His offspring.
Again I ask, what is worthwhile to you child of God?
