My friend, how you treat others especially those who are not Christians is very very important.True Christianity is not what you do with your Christian brothers alone, it is rather how you treat and act around the “sinner” or non believer that counts. To be judgemental is a great sin,yet to be compassionate is the art of soul winning.
We read from the scriptures in Colossians 4:5-6
Behave yourselves wisely [living prudently and with discretion] in your relations with those of the outside world (the non-Christians), making the very most of the time and seizing (buying up) the opportunity.
Let your speech at all times be gracious (pleasant and winsome), seasoned [as it were] with salt, [so that you may never be at a loss] to know how you ought to answer anyone [who puts a question to you].
This scripture teaches us to have a winsome speech not a judgemental one and to have discretion.
Discretion means to have the quality of behaving or speaking in such a way as to avoid causing offence or revealing confidential information. In others words be sensitive when speaking to an unbeliever also bearing in mind that you too were once an unbeliever at some point such that you are able to buy an opportunity so as to win that soul.
So as from today let us put on a soul winning attitude and go out there and make disciples of all nations of men.
