My friend, let’s look at trusting in the Lord. There is no better example I can give than that of Abraham (Genesis 12:1-9), this man was exceptional in the faith and how much he trusted God was just so mind blowing. If we read his story God had told him to leave his father’s house and go to a place(that’s no where but somewhere) and he believed God even as far as barrenness was concerned. Abraham trusted(believed in or relied on) God enough to go in the middle nowhere yet he believed it was somewhere. How many of us today are willing to trust the Lord with all of our hearts and to lean not in our own understanding but in all our ways to acknowledge Him and have God direct our paths(Proverbs 3:5-6) as He did for Abraham. Sadly some of us grumble ; it’s taking long…I think I must try this whilst I wait on God.. maybe I misheard let me take this path….” .We fail to understand that when God directs our paths all we should do is just follow His Word and wait on Him(Psalm 37:7). Let God’s Word be the lamp of our feet our light to our path (Psalm 119:105). They that put their trust in the Lord will never be put to shame.
