Often times when we think we have forgiven when we have not. We struggle to let go and we struggle by having resentment toward those people that wronged us. We feel bitter towards that person or people and usually this is clearly shown by how we react around them. Now forgiveness is a full packaged work-out where after the damage or hurt we should hold nothing against anyone nor speak or think of it, we should let it go!
Christ Jesus taught us and said in Matthew 6:12,14-15
And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven (left, remitted, and let go of the debts, and have given up resentment against) our debtors.
For if you forgive people their trespasses [their reckless and willful sins, leaving them, letting them go, and giving up resentment], your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
But if you do not forgive others their trespasses [their reckless and willful sins, leaving them, letting them go, and giving up resentment], neither will your Father forgive you your trespasses.
Brothers and sisters we must absolutely give up resentment towards those that hurt or wronged us, because forgiveness liberates us. One man said when we choose not to forgive we become prisoners and give power over our lives to those that wronged us.
So today to live a happy free life, let it go!
