As I grew up I frequently heard of a phrase, ‘ it is as difficult and hard as praying’. I began to question the authenticity of that phrase and realized Praying in itself is not hard nor difficult no! It is how we want things so easy and cheap that’s hard and difficult. Someone who understands and knows and does pray enjoys prayer, Yet someone that has other priorities rather than to pray find it hard or difficult to pray.
Now scripture says in Colossians 4:2 Be earnest and unwearied and steadfast in your prayer [life], being [both] alert and intent in [your praying] with thanksgiving.
Brothers and sisters watching tv enjoying your favorite soapie that you can’t miss can never surpass the beauty of prayer. It’s interesting how you feel bored or tired to pray but never on the soapies, phone or tablet. Unless and until you earnest in praying you will find praying hard and difficult. The way you stay glued to that phone/tablet/laptop/TV screen, if you did on knees you’ll find prayer to be the most refreshing and most beautifully fulfilling conversation ever!
