I’m reminded how Christ would see the best out of everybody He met. He wasn’t there to accuse and point fingers. Like the woman caught right in the act of adultery how He had compassion on her- John 8:
[10]When Jesus raised Himself up, He said to her, Woman, where are your accusers? Has no man condemned you?
[11]She answered, No one, Lord! And Jesus said, I do not condemn you either. Go on your way and from now on sin no more.
He wasn’t quick to judge or condemn but was compassionate and loving.
The Bible teaches us about love in 1 Corinthians 13:7 and says, Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening].
My question to us today is that do we see the best in others or the worst irregardless of who they are and what they do in life? When some saw Zacchaeus as a sinner Christ Jesus saw a righteous man. When some saw a prostitute of Samaria Christ Jesus saw a great evangelist. When people see you as a failure and a good for nothing Christ sees you as an Overcomer and prosperous person. Love believes the best in every person. Won’t you and I desire to have this love today?!
Let us have Agape(God kind of love) towards one another where we see good instead of evil, have peace instead of anxiety,experience joy instead of sorrow.
