Grace, mercy and peace from Christ Jesus our Lord and Saviour. Now over 2000 years ago our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ walked on the face of the earth and fulfilled the will of the Father by teaching, healing, delivering many, living, dying, and resurrecting so that you and I can have eternal life. This we must never take for granted at all. So He that came, the same left by ascending to heaven and will likewise return one day. Sadly enough many of us are so consumed, distracted and ignorant of how frail our time here on earth is that we get carried away by things that don’t really mean bread or butter. We are so fixated on material possession, material gain and conformity or fitting in to certain earthly standards such that we then lose focus on the majors and only concentrate on the minors and perishables. Each day a part of our life fades away, and by the passing of each second we get closer to either the rapture and Christ returning or being called home through death from this earth. Today I want us to sit down quietly and consider our ways and lifestyle to measure and see if it is fit for Sonship in the Kingdom of God.
Haggai 1:5-7 the Father says,
[5]Now therefore thus says the Lord of hosts: Consider your ways and set your mind on what has come to you.
[6]You have sown much, but you have reaped little; you eat, but you do not have enough; you drink, but you do not have your fill; you clothe yourselves, but no one is warm; and he who earns wages has earned them to put them in a bag with holes in it.
[7]Thus says the Lord of hosts: Consider your ways (your previous and present conduct) and how you have fared.
It is important to look closely at how we are living and if it is not for Christ then surely it is all for nothing and you would have lived wasted years.
Job said something that really touched me, no man can live beyond his/her prescribed time. You can never have overtime of years!
Job 14:1-5
[1]MAN WHO is born of a woman is of few days and full of trouble.
[2]He comes forth like a flower and withers; he flees also like a shadow and continues not.
[3]And [Lord] do You open Your eyes upon such a one, and bring me into judgment with You?
[4]Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? No one! [Isa. 1:18; I John 1:7.]
[5]Since a man’s days are already determined, and the number of his months is wholly in Your control, and he cannot pass the bounds of his allotted time–
Today let us be careful of how we are living because we might think we are standing firm in Christ whilst we are swept astray by worldly phenomenons.
Let he/she that has an ear hear what the Spirit is saying of the times and seasons.
