I greet you all my fellow brethren in Christ Jesus our Lord and Saviour. Hear me well, fear is not wrong but it is where the fear is directed towards that matters; let me say it again, it is not a sin or wrong to be afraid but it is what you are afraid of that counts!
Proverbs 9
10.says, The reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord is the beginning (the chief and choice part) of Wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight and understanding.

Now watch closely, scripture says the reverent and worshipful fear, meaning that fear is a form of:

1. Reverence, and this denotes respect of someone’s or something’s power and authority. So misguided fear means you are respecting the power and authority of the devil, your adversaries or mountainsypu are facing, and the proper fear has to be given/rendered towards God the Father.
2. Scripture also says in this verse Worshipful fear, meaning showing reverence and adoration. Now clearly we cannot show reverence and adoration to the devil or people or our adversaries but to God alone!
   The main reason we are afraid or fearful is that we do not know who we are and whom is on our side!
   Lack of knowledge or adequate information leads to panic and fear!
   You and I need to know and understand our identity and worth in Christ Jesus so that we are fearless amidst the vissicitudes of life.
   King David wrote and said in Psalm 118
3. The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?
   Today, I need you to declare this verse in your prayers and say the Lord is on my side, what will man do to me, in fact declare it from Hebrews 13
4. So we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently and boldly say, The Lord is my Helper; I will not be seized with alarm [I will not fear or dread or be terrified]. What can man do to me?
   Be fearless God is with you and for you in Christ Jesus’ Mighty name!
