My fellow brethren in Christ Jesus’ greetings to you. I want you to realize and understand that God never forsake anyone no matter how good or bad you think you’ve been. God’s love for us is irrevocable and unconditional. Imagine that whilst we were still sinners Christ Jesus died for you and me , and this goes to show us that no matter what God loves us.
The word forsake mean to abandon, to give upon to renounce. Hear me you are too precious in the sight of God for Him to overlook your cry for help. Now let us make sure we are righteous or yearn after righteousness in order for us nor to be overlooked cis some will think they can do as they please and get away with it. For you are only somewhat overlooked if you not righteous or walking in righteousness. Strive or do your best to live a righteous life and this helps you gain the goodness of the Lord!
David said, Psalm 37

24. The steps of a [good] man are directed and established by the Lord when He delights in his way [and He busies Himself with his every step].
25. Though he falls, he shall not be utterly cast down, for the Lord grasps his hand in support and upholds him.
26. I have been young and now am old, yet have I not seen the [uncompromisingly] righteous forsaken or their seed begging bread.

You cannot live your life anyhow and expect God to show you His goodness no! This will take away the Sovereignty and Holiness of His being. They are certain standards we ought to live by in order for us to receive from the Father. Being diligent/showing care to God’s standards and commands and not choosing to ignore and then dive into sin, because if you do, then you forsake yourself from God. It is you that removes yourself from God’s goodness and dwell into darkness because God does not change. So in order to experience the Presence and goodness of God; be good, walk and live upright in Christ Jesus’ mighty name!
