Discover & stay the course!

Man discovered the moon on 21 July 1969. Sugar was discovered during the 11th Century in 1069. They are so many things that man discovered like electricity in the 6th century during the 1700s, yet my fellow brethren in Christ scores of people have died without having discovered themselves. Each and everyone of us has a race and a set course or must I say a pathway that we must discover to live a fulfilled life, but sad to note and say is that most of us we miss the finishing line because somewhere somehow we alter the trajectory of our God assigned courses and run astray.
You and I have a race to run and an appointed course to finish. The writer of Hebrews says, Hebrews 12

  1. THEREFORE THEN, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who have borne testimony to the Truth], let us strip off and throw aside every encumbrance (unnecessary weight) and that sin which so readily (deftly and cleverly) clings to and entangles us, and let us run with patient endurance and steady and active persistence the appointed course of the race that is set before us,
  2. Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]. He, for the joy [of obtaining the prize] that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising and ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God. [Ps. 110:1.].

The sad reality to this is that here on earth you might be cheered on and celebrated yet in Heaven heads will hang low and instead of a standing cheerful ovation you will be condemned for not having run your race and finishing your course. Take time to ask yourself this, if crowns are to be given, what crown will you get with the way you are living now?
Do you see yourself being cheered on and celebrated or you see yourself being booed for having failed to win your race? – be wise and run your course!
If you yourself does not tolerate excuses why should your Father who is in heaven tolerate your excuses!
