My friend I was pondering (having some deep thoughts in meditation) and I realized that when Christ Jesus came to earth, not everyone bothered to meet with Him or to get to know Him. In fact we read in Luke 19 and in John chapter 3 of two men; Zaccheus and Nicodemus because these two lads did something powerful- they sought after Jesus and went to Him to be seen of Him their stories and encounters with Christ were written in the Holy Scriptures.
Some of us today we try to hide ourselves from the Master- in fact we distance ourselves from God and we don’t desire to draw nigh to Him.
Now as I was meditating upon this I then realized that Eternal Life is not found in anything else but intimacy with God. We read in John 17 as our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ was praying (The Lord’s Prayer) :
John 17:
[3]And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
So there we have it the secret to eternal life which Abraham, Moses and all Generals in the Kingdom of God – even Prophet Elijah – It is knowing God and Christ Jesus to sum it up -INTIMACY with God/Christ Jesus/Holy Spirit!
So my question today is how much of God do you know- David knew Him as Baal-perazim at some point, Abraham as Jireh, they had their intimacy and revelations – but what about you, who is God to you?!!
