One of the most difficult thing to do is to forgive a person yet I’ve found out that forgiveness liberates the forgiver more than the forgiven. When you forgive you set yourself free from carrying the burden that the devil can and will use to destroy you or whatever you would have built. Forgiveness is freedom whilst unforgiveness places you in a prison of unending thoughts which leads to uncontrolled- emotions, wrath, outburst, depression. Forgiveness on the other hand gives peace, joy, freedom and stability.
In Matthew chapter 6 the Lord Jesus Christ taught on forgiveness.
Matthew 6:
[14]For if you forgive people their trespasses [their reckless and willful sins, leaving them, letting them go, and giving up resentment], your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
[15]But if you do not forgive others their trespasses [their reckless and willful sins, leaving them, letting them go, and giving up resentment], neither will your Father forgive you your trespasses.
So the power to forgive is not in the transgressor or the one who wronged- it is not the sorry that forgives but it is the one that is wronged that has the choice to either forgive and let go or unforgive and hold on to the wrong but the danger with this ia it’ll bring out a bad spirit(demon) of resentment-bitterness or indignation and such produce bad emotions-evil emotions. So let go forgive and live your life free. We all are imperfect beings and prone to error what’s important is to think as Jesus said; ‘if you without sin cast in the first stone’. Let us begin today to stop casting in stones of unforgiveness and let us walk in the liberty forgiveness in Christ Jesus our Lord and Saviour!
The hindrance to your blessing in fact the stumbling block to your progress is unforgiveness. Forgiveness is God and unforgiveness is the devil.
