My friend now the Easter bunny that is a story or fairytale, it is made up and not real at all unlike the death and ultimate sacrifice of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ; now that is not a story or fairytale but it is real and it did happen, because for the love of God toward us there had to be a solution to deal with sin once and for all. God is not happy to see you struggle in life, or find you in pain or a place of despair, His desire is that we rejoice always. He solemnly created us to enjoy the earth and benefit from the rewards of His creation. Now calamity, death, pain, struggle, heartache, sickness all these were birthed through sin and this day more than 2000 years ago God came to earth as the man Jesus Christ born of a virgin womb for the sole purpose of getting rid of all bad things we encounter in our lives through His death.
Prophet Isaiah 53:4-5 explains it this way:
Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains [of punishment], yet we [ignorantly] considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God [as if with leprosy]. [Matt. 8:17.]
But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole.
So Jesus Christ chose to die for us not only to give us a second chance but the best chance that life has to offer. Let us therefore remember and celebrate Jesus Christ our Lord for such a manner of love!
