My friend God our Father desires for us to be Holy as He is Holy this is because he created us and we are His image and representatives here on earth. Falsehood has dominated our world today, and people tend to have a form of godliness whilst denying the power of God thereof. Make ups and make overs outwardly does not profit anything when the heart is filled with sin and sinful ways. It is a command to be Holy and not a request and this must be clearly understood! Failure to be Holy is inexcusable and unacceptable before God our Heavenly Father. Many today sin and fall into sin with the excuse that I’m human and some say going Heaven is by grace at the right time, so they choose to indulge in sin with the hope that grace will give them a safe ticket and passage into Heaven, yet this is not the case at all. Some even still say I’m not yet ready to be serious with God or the things of church yet they forget who made them and when trouble knocks they are the first to say, ‘Lord have mercy on me!’
Psalm 24:3-6
Who shall go up into the mountain of the Lord? Or who shall stand in His Holy Place?
He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted himself up to falsehood or to what is false, nor sworn deceitfully.
He shall receive blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
This is the generation [description] of those who seek Him [who inquire of and for Him and of necessity require Him], who seek Your face, [O God of] Jacob. Selah [pause, and think of that]! [Ps. 42:1.]
Matthew 5:8 also says, Blessed (happy, enviably fortunate, and spiritually prosperous–possessing the happiness produced by the experience of God’s favor and especially conditioned by the revelation of His grace, regardless of their outward conditions) are the pure in heart, for they shall see God! [Ps. 24:3, 4.]
So in order for you and me to see God let us be Holy and not just have a form of holiness.
