My friend wow there is a peculiar peace that transcends our human intellect and branches beyond our point of comprehension/understanding. It just doesn’t make sense that Stephen whilst being stoned could see open heavens and not feel the pain of the stones. Peace that causes you to sleep in the middle of ragging storm. Peace that causes you to count it all joy whilst being tossed in a fury furnace. Peace that makes you smile and rejoice whilst in serious debt and facing a possible eviction; I mean really this just doesn’t make sense!
How come after the contractions and pain of child birth the woman is met with sudden peace. What manner of peace is this, that can make a man see and write down the Revelation of Jesus Christ whilst exiled on an island of Patmos with both eyes gouged out, & 22 chapters he penned down?
Wow what a peace and how can I get this peace?
I know we all facing difficult and tough times every once in a while, with uncertainty of tomorrow or what the future holds, and for some it seemeth like the pain and struggle will never end. May I encourage you today these words from our Lord Jesus Christ in John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]
So to acquire this peace come to Jesus Christ, recieve Him and believe in His name. Begin to grow and walk in His ways, feeding on the scriptures and then the Holy Spirit will rest upon you and give you this peace.
