My friend your identity is very very important. Who you define yourself as has the Power and capacity to shape your present and future. Do not let your parents define you, neither your friends, spouse or the world but let God only define you.
1 Peter 2:9 says, But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. [Exod. 19:5, 6.]
You have a purpose. Your life has a meaning. No one under the sun is a mistake. No one is a black sheep of the family. Ignore man’s definitions and allow only God to define you, after all people are entitled to their own definitions yet the choice is yours to choose who to believe.
