My friend as we focus on Gender Based Violence against women. The trauma that one faces results in a very serious demonic spirit termed “depression”. With job losses this bad spirit grips an individual and affects one’s eating, sleeping, and social habits. One major dangerous result of depression is suicide, where after one feels severe despondency and dejection they just think the best way out is to take their life.
Abuse in all it’s forms is a very serious evil and this can cause tragic results.
Most sexual offenders, murderers and violent people at one point witnessed or went through some form of abuse and this demon generated a certain behavioural pattern.
Now acknowledging that we have a new identity in CHRIST is the first step for us to take from a demonic mindset and therefore one must be born again!
2 Corinthians 5:17 says, Therefore if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come!
When we in CHRIST JESUS He takes the trauma and pain away. Depression is a serious demonic spirit which has given birth to a lot of problems within societies today. Without Christ Jesus we will continue to face the same struggle of GBV. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5
For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds,
[Inasmuch as we] refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).
Certainly the destruction of this stronghold will be overthrown through Christ Jesus!
