My friend you become like what you spend your time being exposed to. Anything that we give attention to, develops to become a part of who we are. As human beings we are a reflection of whom or what we spend our time with. Our characters are shaped based on the type of environment or associations we have. You become that which / who you spend your time exposed to.
2 Corinthians 3:17-18 says, Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (emancipation from bondage, freedom). [Isa. 61:1, 2.]
And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit.
My friend the more you spend time with God, in prayer, in His WORD, is the more you connect with Him and you become more like Him. Moses spent alot of time with GOD and on one occasion was transfigured as to the reflection of the glorious GOD He spent time with!(see Exodus 34:29 – 35). So if you want to be like God our Father and be the spitting image of Christ then spend time with Him. Being a Christian is to be Christ-like. Who do you resemble right there where you are?
