My friend how often do we sit down and selah whilst taking time to study God’s word. In our daily routine how much time do we invest in God’s word moreover in prayer or we too tired will do it next time, we busy will see when we a get a chance. God’s word says in Joshua 1:8 This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success.
I had this conviction in me as God questioned me to say why does He have second place in my life, why should He have the little or no time in our lives when we can’t miss news bulletins each day; we can’t miss saying good morning to our loved ones or that business meeting. Why does God come last or have no time at all in our “busy” schedule?!
Daily we must pray always without ceasing; daily and every passing hour we must take time to meditate upon His word, for this drives off wrong/evil thoughts thus enabling us to make wise decisions in each passing time and it keeps us in tune with the Holy Spirit (mind of God) giving the devil no room or space to strike with his deception!
A sober and vigilant Christian who is alert to withstand the wiles of the roaming-around devil is that of one who gives GOD top priority firstly in everything he/she does. A victorious and fulfilling day is one we begin and end with Christ Jesus being in the centre of it all.
