My friend in John chapter 4 we see the power of love. In this beautiful story we meet our Lord Jesus Christ introduce himself to a Samaritan woman by the well. Our Lord Jesus Christ asked this lady where is your husband and He tells her that the man she is with now is not her husband. In fact Jesus tells her the truth in love and it was out of his love for this prostitute’s soul that He captured her soul for salvation. He could have condemned or judged or killed her for sleeping around (adultery was punished by stoning) but no He didn’t, in fact He simply told her the truth in love and this led to two remarkable things she ended up asking our Lord Jesus Christ for the living waters (for salvation) and secondly the whole town of Samaria believed on Jesus because of the woman’s report. What a remarkable story of how the power of love can transform a prostitute into a preacher non-believers to believers.
I believe God is asking the same of us today. Instead of us labelling people, judging them or condemning let us rather Love them to salvation.
The secret is this Love is the only way; love is key because love covers a multitude of sin. Love turned a murder into a missionary (Paul). Let us have love for one another.
